Angel Boligan Corbo is a member of National Union of writers and artists of Cuba, member of Caglecartoons, Inc. International Syndicate of Cartoonists of United States and Courrier International Agency in France. He is the President of Cartoonclub Agency, Club of Latin Cartoon.
Angel Boligán is an exceptional artist who combines the perfection and audacity of drawing, journalism, intelligent humor and criticism. His cartoons have earned him countless awards around the world, including the prestigious World Press Cartoon Grand Prix (2006) and the National Journalism Award, which he has won twice. One of the characteristics of his work is timelessness. Boligán is a Lighthouse that perceives the deepest roots of current human problems, to comment on them and draw them in the most serious way possible: through humor and Love, Boligán presents his vision of love in the most different scenarios and in different flavours: sweet, bitter, mordant. It portrays loneliness, the complexity of couples, love in the contemporary world.
Angel comes from a country surrounded by dreams, frustrations and sometimes nightmares. Cuba, the land of intensive social and political events, gave Boligán the experience of life. A socialist who later will perceive the capitalist world with a broader look, becoming an observer with a surprising maturity.
Angel Boligan Corbo was born on 10th May 1965 in San Antonio de Los Banos: Havana, Cuba. This city is also known for the fact that it houses the Museum of Humor and hosts the annual Biennial International Humor Contest.
In 1984 he studied Fine Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts Instructors in Havana, from which he graduated in 1987 as a Teacher of Plastic Arts. And Since 1992 he lives in Mexico and is the holder of the Mexican Citizenship
He worked as editor, illustrator and cartoonist for the newspaper “EL UNIVERSAL” and the satirical magazines “CONOZCA MÁS”. Currently he is working as editorial cartoonist for the Humour magazine “EL CHAMUCO”
Since the beginning of this century, he conquered one country after another in Europe and in Latin America, but also China and the United States. He is therefore a cartoonist of the 21th century

In an interview when asked about his favourite work/drawing he answered “Usually my favourite is the work I have just made, but my mind always change after a few days. So, I think my favourite job has not been done”
